Mission May
It's Mission May time! We hope you'll join us for a month-long celebration of our mission. Have you ever had a child in the hospital? Do you know what it's like to have your world turned upside down when your child is sick? The families that stay with us each night are in the midst of the scariest time of their lives and our house does everything it can to make it as easy as possible. We're asking for your help in making that possible.
Mission May is an easy way to support us. What we're hoping, is that you'll want to give to one of the items below. If you don't see something below that strikes you, but still want to be a MISSION MAY supporter, call or email us. We'd love to hear your ideas.
$15- Sponsor a family’s stay at the Ronald McDonald House for one night
Our Share-A-Night program allows you to sponsor a room for a night, or as many nights as you can. We ask our families for a $15 donation each night they stay with us, however we waive that request immediately if they cannot afford it. With medical bills, prescription costs, and other expenses related to an ill child finances are usually strained. When you sponsor a family, you're not only helping the family staying with us, you're also making it easier for us to carry out our mission for them.
$50- Expand our pantry items for family meals
After a day of appointments or surgeries at the hospital, families can return to a warm meal at the Ronald McDonald House. Our hope is to provide at least one home cooked meal each day. Your generous donation to keep our pantries full provides families the feeling of home and our volunteers, the opportunity to cook comfort foods for them.
$100- Sponsor a Family movie night
Tragedy can strike anyone at any moment, putting our lives on hold. Parents have to take leave from work while their children, who are being treated as well as their siblings, have to miss school. Sponsoring Family Movie Night brings our families closer together in a way that is both fun and emotionally bonding. Family Movie Night is a program that continues the family traditions we remember from a home filled with love and togetherness and gives our families just a few hours of normalcy.
$200- Sponsor our Ronald McDonald House Sibling Program
Being in a new place can be scary, especially for the brothers and sisters of children staying at the hospital. The Ronald McDonald House Sibling Program involves kids in games, activities, arts and crafts, etc. In the midst of serious circumstances, our Sibling Program allows kids to be kids for a day.
